First and foremost is college. Well, I got the scholarship I was hoping to get, so I'm all set for the next four years. Whew! That's a relief. However, getting it means that I will have to live on campus. I like the idea of living on my own and away from my family, but I just don't know how I'm going to handle all those teenagers in one small place. Plus, I'll have to have a roommate. You can choose one, of course, but I'm the only one of my friends actually going to college, so... I'm really nervous about who they'll room me with. I just don't do well in social situations. Also, before I can even go, they need to have a record of my immunizations. I've had them all, but that was 16, 17 years ago and my mom doesn't remember where I had them. Some of them were done on a military base down in NC. We have no idea how to get hold of these records.
Second is graduation. What a load! I just want to get my diploma and get the hell out. It's apparently not that easy. I've ordered my cap and gown and my invitations. I missed my cap and gown pictures last week at school, which we were going to use to put on the invitations. I never got any senior pictures done to use instead, because I figured I'd just use these others and who the hell cares about senior pictures anyway? I look the same as I did last summer when I was made to have pictures done; why not just use those? I'm told it's tradition. *rolls eyes*
Third is my AP classes. I have two of them right now, which is two less then last semester, but still very stressful. The classes themselves are easy, and I'm pretty sure I know the material. It's the tests I'm worried about. All I've heard are horror stories about these AP tests. And I would so hate to spend the money to take these tests, flunk them, and then have to spend the money to take the classes again when I get to college. Just not something I want to do.
Then there's the senior trip ordeal. Not that important, but still something I need to be worried about now. We've decided on Myrtle Beach and we've found a decent hotel that will let teenagers check in, which is a plus so we won't have to take my mother. However, we don't have a set number of people and we can't reserve a room without knowing how many are coming. And if we don't get this done soon, there won't be any left. I just can't get a straight answer out of anyone. I'm about to pull my hair out over it! @.@
And on top of all that, my printer broke. Yeah. So, now I'm having to save all my homework to a thumbdrive, find the time to upload it at school and print it out. It's either that, or hand-writing these twelve-page essays which is so not an option. I'm finding out that damned senior project was just the tip of the iceburg.
To get ready for vacation and college (I want to look good when I go ;D), I've been on a severe diet and excercise routine. The good news: I've lost 15 pounds! The bad news: I haven't had chocolate in two weeks, and I'm about to climb the walls. But, I'm starting to like what I see in the mirror, so I'm keeping at it.
And I haven't had time to write as much as I would like. I've been trying to finish the second installment of DWC, and it's coming along, but nowhere near finished. I only get an hour or two before bed to work on it. Also, I have all these other ideas for one-shots that I am just itching to get out, but can't until I finish that chapter or I'd just feel guilty.
And, I'm starting to get into Futurama fanfiction, which isn't good. I can't be stretched into another fandom! @.@ Oh, by the way, did you know Fox might be taking them up for a sixth season?! I'm ecstatic with the possibility. And I finally saw Into the Wild Green Yonder, which was fantastic! I won't spoil it for anyone, but it's definitely worth the time.
So, anyway, that's how my life's been since Christmas. Hope you're doing better.
